A Cloud Engineer provisions and maintains cloud resources, networks, storage and backups, automates infrastructure with code, monitors availability, performance and cost, applies security controls, and helps engineering teams deploy applications reliably.

Key responsibilities

Cloud infrastructure

• Provision and maintain cloud resources, networks, storage and backups.
• Keep systems available, patched and recoverable, with tested backup and restore processes.
• Support migrations and environment setup for new applications and services.

Automation and deployments

• Automate infrastructure changes with infrastructure-as-code and scripting.
• Collaborate with engineering teams on deployments, CI/CD pipelines and environment readiness.
• Reduce manual work and configuration drift through repeatable processes.

Monitoring, performance and cost

• Monitor availability, performance and cost, and set up alerts and dashboards.
• Respond to incidents, find root causes and write short post-incident notes.
• Track cloud spend and suggest right-sizing and clean-up actions.

Security and compliance

• Apply security controls: access management (IAM), network rules, encryption, secrets handling and logging.
• Support security reviews, vulnerability fixes and compliance requirements.
• Follow change management and documentation standards.

Requirements

Required

• Practical experience with a major cloud platform (AWS, Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud) and Linux systems
• Familiarity with infrastructure automation, networking and monitoring tools
• Troubleshooting skills and clear communication
• Good spoken and written English
• Valid UAE visa status, or willingness to be sponsored
