Graphic Designer (External Communications Department)

Job Purpose

Produce creative visual designs for reports, presentations, and documents across the Function, while providing expert guidance on report and presentation design. Support the Directorate’s personnel with their design needs for reports and presentations.

Job Specific Accountabilities

• Produce creative visual designs for reports, presentations, and other documents within the Function, and provide expert input on their design.
• Apply a broad range of media and tools — including photography and graphic design software — to create layouts, product illustrations, company logos, and other corporate communication materials.
• Review design requests submitted by the Executive Office Directorate and prioritize workload accordingly.
• Liaise with end users to understand design requirements, deliverables, and deadlines.
• Build and maintain a media library of assets, including images, past project files, and stock photography.
• Perform quality control on digital print equipment and paper stock, and review pre-press print materials for accuracy.
• Prepare proof copies of artwork for client approval and for use as printing guides by technicians operating digital offset and network printing equipment.
• Stay current with developments in graphic design and printing technologies, and explore new tools and products.
• Ensure confidential documents are handled appropriately, with access restricted to authorized personnel only.
• Maintain up-to-date design skills and knowledge of printing technology by attending relevant seminars, exhibitions, and training.

Minimum Qualification

Bachelor’s Degree in graphic design from a recognized institution.

Minimum Experience, Knowledge & Skills

• 4 years of experience.
• Excellent knowledge of the visual execution of PowerPoint presentations in both English and Arabic.
• Excellent written and verbal English and Arabic communication skills.
• Strong knowledge of editing programs and copywriting procedures.
