Job Overview

The Process Engineer will join the Fuels Strategy and Capital Planning Department. The main responsibility is to evaluate capital investment proposals, review business plans, and ensure alignment with Aramco’s downstream strategy.

You will play a key role in analyzing technical, operational, and economic aspects of major energy projects and supporting strategic decision-making processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Review capital project proposals for accuracy, completeness, and strategic alignment
• Analyze process engineering assumptions for technical and economic feasibility
• Evaluate downstream business plans and investment submissions
• Assess market conditions and long-term fuels strategy impacts
• Provide engineering insights to support investment decisions
• Review feasibility studies and capital planning documents
• Ensure optimization of process-related inputs in strategic planning
• Support value creation and project justification assessments
• Perform technical and economic analysis of refinery and fuels systems
• Conduct sensitivity analysis and investment screening when required

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering (required)
• Advanced degree preferred
• Minimum 10 years of experience in process engineering or downstream operations
• Strong background in refinery, fuels systems, and process optimization
• Experience in capital project evaluation and economic analysis
• Knowledge of feasibility studies and business planning
• Strong analytical, technical, and communication skills
• Ability to integrate engineering and financial data into strategic recommendations
• Experience in investment screening is an advantage
