The candidate will be responsible for measuring, reporting, and managing construction quantities, costs, and documentation in line with contract specifications and industry standards.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Measure and re-measure construction quantities following contract qualifications (pre-ambles) at all stages of construction.
• Quantify all construction materials, labour man-hours, activities, plant, and equipment usage.
• Manage the resultant cost estimate through valuations, variations control, and assessment of claims.
• Prepare the final cost estimate report for validation and calibration of norms.
• Record original BOQ and track all changes during project execution.
• Review BOQ, MTO, or BOM at any design or engineering phase.
• Report daily to the Site Manager and functionally to Lead/Senior Quantity Surveyor.

Candidate Profile

• Minimum 8 years’ experience in quantity surveying within major construction or engineering consultancy environments.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience with activity or work sampling techniques and relevant statistical methods.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in the Oil & Gas Industry – Approved PDO-ODC Contract.
• Familiarity with Company or Shell standards and guidelines is preferred.
• Fully conversant with international design and construction standards for the Oil & Gas sector.
• Degree/Diploma in Technical Engineering discipline.
• Certified as Quantity Surveyor with minimum assessment as “Chartered Surveyor.”
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to interact with cost engineering teams.
• Accuracy, consistency, and ability to challenge cost estimates prepared by others or third parties.
